Bob Ronnow holds a B.A. in English & Comparative Literature from Columbia University and an Associates Degree in Applied Science from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry. He is a licensed Massachusetts English and Mathematics teacher. He has served as executive director of several non-profit social service and environmental organizations. He has also been a forest technician in the western and northeastern U.S. His most recent publications are New & Selected Poems 1975-2005 and Communicating the Bird. He plays jazz trumpet. He has over twenty years of experience working with children, youths and young adults in a wide range of settings including educational, residential and counseling programs, and since 2009 as an academic tutor in the Pittsfield Public Schools.
