The Imaginary i
Walking Is the Answer to Everything
Walking is the answer to everything.
Walk among boulders. Walk with war buddies.
Walk the untouched wilderness. Walk the heartless city.
Walk and think. Walk and pray. Walk and count.
Walk cross country, away from the road and the railroad.
Walk in the crosswalks. Walk or bike. Hike or run. Once you’re gone, you’re done.
Walk to the sitting spot under the oaks and hemlocks.
Walk to where the stream cuts the gorge or the loon cuts the lake.
Walk your last bitcoin of strength on your titanium knee.
Walk like the physical therapist taught you to walk.
Wake up! Your dreams are bad. The republic is dying.
Walk over the bridge at sunset. Walk home in the pouring rain.
Walk in the park, walk in the mountains.
Walk the desert foothills on a starry night.
Walk on the sunny side of the street. Say hello.
Walk to the art museum and stand before Homer.
Walk slowly toward Utah and Italy.
Walk with eyes open when you get to the afterlife.
Walk, talk and think about God.
Walk a dog so intelligent it can walk off the leash on the crowded streets of New York.
Walk in winter, cedar waxwings foraging for rose hips and frost grapes.
Walk the extra mile, report from the besieged city.
Walk with a limp. Don’t complain about pain.
Walk down Broadway, walk uptown with Stephanie.
Walk the old field boundary of your mind. Walk to the center of attention.
Walk rather than going angrily to war.
Walk and wear the cap of a fool.
Walking is sung praise and gratitude.
Walking and talking quietly. Dead man walking.
Walking is the most commonly suggested exercise.
